Community Resilience Initiative (CRI)
Course 1: Introduction to CRI’s capacity-building framework for building resilience, KISS = Knowledge, Insight, Strategies, and Structure
KISS involves research about causes of trauma (including adverse childhood experiences), how to transition from knowledge to insight, and core strategies to respond to trauma. Develop understanding through neuroscience to effects of trauma on the brain, effective emotions and behaviors when helping individuals affected by trauma. Through community learning and movement from theory to practice, find ways to implement evidence-based strategies in your work.
